Your Love Story Starts Here
Valentine’s Day has roots in the ancient Roman festival Lupercalia, a pagan fertility celebration held on February 15. As part of the ritual, Roman priests would sacrifice goats and cut the hides into strips, dipping them in blood. Men would then whip women with these strips, believing it would promote fertility and good fortune for the coming year. Following the ritual, a matchmaking lottery took place, where men would draw the names of women from a jar. The paired couples would spend time together during the festival, which sometimes led to lasting relationships or marriages.
In the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I abolished Lupercalia and replaced it with St. Valentine’s Day, honoring St. Valentine, a Christian martyr who, according to legend, secretly performed marriages for lovers in defiance of Roman law. Over time, Valentine’s Day evolved from a day commemorating a saint into a celebration of love and romance, blending ancient traditions with newer Christian values.
By the Middle Ages, Valentine’s Day was widely recognized as a day to express affection. The exchange of handwritten love notes began during this time, influenced by literary figures such as Geoffrey Chaucer, who romanticized the holiday in his writings. Eventually, the tradition of giving cards, flowers, and gifts took hold, leading to the Valentine’s Day we know today, a global celebration of love, affection, and connection.
on february 11th, we'll be activating your own self love story through somatic practice, meditation and prayer, opening and expanding your heart center.
This self love circle is for if:
You often put others before yourself and want to learn how to pour that same love into yourself.
You're ready to embrace yourself just as you are without the “when i have this..THEN i'll love myself” phrase.
You're tired of seeking validation from the outside world and ready to find it within.
You crave sacred space to express yourself and explore self love.
You've lost touch with your inner essence and want to come home to yourself.
You're ready to let go of self criticism and start speaking to yourself with kindness.
But…Why Self Love?
"Once upon a time…
there was a girl who spent her days searching for love in every corner of her world. She looked for it in the eyes of others, in fleeting compliments, and in the arms of those who never truly stayed. But no matter how much love she found, it never seemed to fill the emptiness she felt inside.
One day, after many heartaches and lessons, she was called into a quiet forest where the wind whispered secrets to the trees. As she rested under the shade of an ancient oak and a gentle breeze picked up, she heard a gentle voice from deep within her heart: “Have you tried loving me?”
At first, she was puzzled. Love herself? She had always thought love came from outside, from someone else. But she decided to listen. Slowly, she began to cherish her own heart, to speak kindly to her body, and to honor her own dreams. Day by day, she grew more radiant, confident, and free. She discovered that self-love wasn’t a destination, but it was a practice, a relationship with herself that blossomed over time like a beautiful Flower.
And as she learned to love herself, something magical happened: the love she had been searching for in the world began to flow to her. She no longer needed to chase it, because love now lived within her. And from that place of fullness, she was able to give and receive love freely, creating authentic, lasting connections with herself, others and the world."
The truth is, every true love story starts within. Loving ourselves; heart, mind, and body, is the first step to opening the door to unconditional love and authentic relationships. Self-love lays the foundation for self-confidence, empowering us to shine and be unapologetically ourselves, live a life filled with genuine connection and joy.
It all starts WITHIN! Let's IGNITE it together!

Hera
Hi, I'm Hera, the Heart behind Goddess Hera Coaching and the self love circle. As a coach, and fellow humble human, I am devoted to serve others connect to Love through their Hearts.
My self-love journey wasn't easy, it began at a time when I felt lost, thinking that I can only receive love from others if i DO something for them. I realized how much of my worth was tied into being loved by others instead of by the most important person, myself and my inner child.
And so my search began: how does one love themselves?
After years of practice and devotion, I realized that self love isn't a destination, it's a daily sacred ritual, like every night before I go to bed, I make sure to fall asleep with a declaration of love to myself, reminding myself: “There is nothing you can say or do that could make me not love you.”
I would love to guide you into this path of self love this Valentine's Season, as you find & ignite the spark of Love within yourself.
With so much love and devotion,
Hera
